so.

I cried on sunday night.

it was pathetic.

i hate crying, mostly because it makes you look weak and hormonal and i have this terrible complex that if you cry you are not capable of making rational decisions. so i just choose not to cry, so i look strong and not hormonal and capable of making rational decisions. i almost put how little i cry on my last resume.*

but, while in the midst of this whole crying fiasco i had a realization. crying is comparable to running. when i run, i feel really crappy for the first 4 minutes. so i listen to a song that i like to make up for the crappiness of running. after those 4 minutes, i feel like i could run forever.** such is crying. i feel retarded when i start crying. infact, i feel really retarded because i look weak and hormonal. but then once i am going for a while i feel really really good and feel like i could just keep crying.

being the biology major that i am i figured out what it is. well, actually not the biology of it. more the physical wellness that comes from it. within the realms of "wellness" there are five categories: spiritual, emotional, intellectual, social and physical. withing these categories are a plethora of things to improve your wellness. SO GET THIS! crying and running are in both the emotional and physical categories. so that is why they are good for you! because they improve 2/5ths of your wellness!

wonderful, huh? so, although i hated crying on sunday i found i was actually making myself a more well-rounded person.

*dont worry i didnt. i just thought about it.

**running forever entails running for... a mile and a half.... pathetic right?
