BREAK: OVERLOAD

December was a pretty crazy month.  So many test (for Wade).  So much traveling.  So many fun times.

Best part of December: Christmas Mugs.

Bass Pro Shoppe has free Santa.  So we got Porter a pic with him.  Doesn't he look happy??

The Church out here does some awesome stuff at Christmas time.  Specifically the gingerbread display at the Kanesville Tabernacle and Winter Quarter's Visitor Center.

Porter had his four month appointment-which also meant he could eat "solid" foods.  HE LOVES IT.

Dutch Christmas from sinterklaas and zwarte piet.

That is Porter's Bear named Bud that we made in Minneapolis.  He snuggles it all the time.  It is also as big as him.  The outfit on the right has an awesome story:  Wade bought that outfit for our nephew Daniel when he was on his mission.  But Wade, being Wade, didn't buy an outfit for his own offspring.  SO my awesome sister-in-law Crystal saved this for FOUR years to give to Wade's first born.  How thoughtful right?? I am so lucky to have an excellent in-laws.

At the Durham museum in Omaha they had a "goosebumps" exhibit that was all about fear.  I saw this sign and just started laughing. Do you GET IT?

Porter and I flew out to Utah during finals.  He is a wonderful traveling companion. Wade flew out the Friday after finals. We spent 2 weeks with my side of the family, including Christmas.  We drove up to Idaho Falls to spend some time with Wade's family on Christmas day.

Playing with Cousin Baer
Playing with Uncle Jack
Pops and Grandy
Jane and Gabe's tower
Porter LOVED uncle Gabe

Great Grandma Margie and Grandbabies.
This is Porter sitting on his future wife.  No not Kourtney, the baby in Kourt's belly!
Hipster Baby
Oh then he learned to roll.  And was really proud of it.
How many people are in this picture??  Have your guess? 12.
I laugh every time I see this picture because of Joe and Gabe.
Joe and Gabe's basketball game.  Joe cools off by putting on his face in his shirt. I love these boys.

For Christmas Eve we made a Gingerbread Tempe Arizona mission.  Wade, Jack, Porter and I did the Mexico/USA boarder.  Also we made an adobe hut.  Other people made the Gilbert temple, the desert, and the ASU football stadium.

Just helping on the farm in Idaho Falls.
While driving home from church Noelle (my sister-in-law) and I made the men all squish into the front of the car.  So this is Eric (brother-in-law) Rod (father-in-law) and Wade all stuffed into a small front seat.
WADE IS A QUARTER OF A CENTURY OLD!!
I'm not going to lie I am very very grateful for this guy.  Keeps me grounded. Takes me on life-changing adventures.  Helps me achieve my goals and dreams. Seriously.  He is perfect for me.

 HBD boyfriend.

HOMEMADE SUSHI ON NEW YEARS. SO GOOD.

Madi's Basketball game with 3 of 4 siblings.

SO MUCH ROOK. Could someone please tell me if these are good hands??

I won't lie. the holiday was so.fun. It was good to see family, friends and mountains.  I laughed. I cried. I was spoiled with movies and dates and meals and sleep.  As much as I loved being out west- I am glad to be back home.
